Housing support for asylum seekers

Housing and support during asylum (NASS, Section 95) — at startnewlife.uk →

What you need to know

If you've made an asylum claim, you have the right to housing from the Home Office. This is called Section 95 support — you'll get a room and a small allowance for food.

To apply, call Migrant Help: 0808 101 8700 (free). They'll help you fill in form ASF1.

You don't choose the city — the Home Office decides. But if you have serious reasons (health, safety), you can request a specific region.

If you've been refused or are being evicted — contact one of the organisations below. They'll help for free.
